Covert Tungsten Hinge Beads

Covert Tungsten Hinge Beads are designed for use with size 12 QC or XT swivels on hinged stiff rigs and chod rigs. The bead slides down the hook section and onto the swivel, securing the hooklink in place while introducing a second hinge point at the base of the swivel — giving the hook section extra movement and making it potentially even more effective at finding a hold. They are equally applicable on quick-change chod rigs or as a refined Ronnie setup.

Available in Standard and Heavy. The Standard bead is matched for use with most shop-bought pop-ups on hooks size 4, 5 or 6 on 2–3 inch hook sections. The Heavy version is for counterbalancing high-buoyancy hookbaits such as cork-ball pop-ups. To fine-tune the sinking rate, the bead can be trimmed or supplemented with a small amount of Critical Mass Tungsten Putty.
