Vigilante is Gardner’s dedicated abrasion-resistant hooklink and snag leader, built for situations where standard braided hooklinks cannot cope. Constructed from 100% Dyneema fibres and treated with a unique anti-friction coating that helps the braid slide cleanly over submerged obstacles, Vigilante delivers unparalleled abrasion resistance alongside a low diameter, exceptional knot strength and near-zero stretch. It is the material of choice for big fish venues with challenging underwater terrain — rocky lake beds, mussel bars, sharp gravel bars and abrasive snags.

The 25lb version doubles as a highly effective carp hooklink on pressured waters; the Dark Brown colour blends into almost any lake bed, and the fine diameter provides a subtler presentation than conventional skinned hooklinks. The 35lb and 45lb versions are the go-to choice for catfish hooklinks, where the braid’s resistance to the abrasive tooth pads of large catfish is critical. All versions are available on 20m spools.
