Take a good length (20-25cm) of 25lb Trickster Heavy braid.

Form a small loop and thread it through the inside eye of the hook, so it’s coming out the back.

Pass the end of the loop through a Covert Hook Swivel.

Now loop the loop around the hook.

The bottom of the loop must line up with the barb on the hook.

Tie a simple knotless knot and cut off the tag end as shown.

Take a Large Covert Hook Aligner and thread it down the braid.

Slide the Hook Aligner over the hook eye as shown. It’s important that the kicker sits in line with the point of hook.

Take a length of Bait Floss, pass it through the Hook Swivel and thread on your chosen hook bait (shown is a 14mm wafter), so it’s mounted on the Covert Hook Swivel as shown.

Blob any excess Bait Floss with a lighter.

Tie a Figure of 8 Loop Knot in the end of the braid for ease of attachment to a Covert Kwik Lok swivel or Q-Ring.

Trickster Heavy is a sinking braided hooklink but a small amount of Critical Mass Putty can be added to the hooklink to ensure it sits correctly.
