Take a good length of 25lb Trickster Heavy braid.

Form a small loop and thread it through the inside eye of the hook, so it’s coming out the back. My preferred hook pattern is a size 4 Covert Dark Mugga.

Caster Cluster - take a small piece of Gardner Zig Rig Foam, stitch four imitation casters onto the foam using Bait Floss and then tie everything off to a Covert Flexi Hook Swivel.

Pass the end of the loop through a Covert Flexi Hook Swivel

Now loop the loop around the hook.

The bottom of the loop must line up with where the barb would be on the hook.

Tie a simple knotless knot and cut off the tag end as shown.

Take a Large Covert Hook Aligner and thread it down the braid.

Slide the Hook Aligner over the hook eye as shown. It’s important that the kicker sits in line with the point of hook.

Tie a Figure of 8 Loop Knot in the end of the braid for ease of attachment to a Covert Kwik Lok swivel or Q-Ring.

Trickster Heavy is a sinking braided hook link, but I always add a small mouse dropping of Critical Mass Putty to the hook link to ensure it sits correctly.
