Covert Dark Incizor Hook

The Incizor is one of Gardner’s most versatile hook patterns, effective across an exceptionally wide range of hooklink materials and rig styles. Its straight eye is the key distinguishing feature — where an in-turned eye can create a weak point with some fluorocarbon materials, the Incizor’s straight eye allows fluorocarbon hooklinks to exit cleanly, while also making it ideal for stiff Trip Wire presentations on Chod and Hinged Stiff rigs. With the addition of a small shrink tube kicker or Covert Hook Aligner, it performs equally well with braided and skinned hooklinks. The Covert Dark upgrade brings improved point geometry, single-layer plating and a micro barb to this already well-regarded pattern.

• Re-specified hook point — longer, slimmer and sharper than the previous version, pricking faster and penetrating more easily on the take.
• Covert Dark single-layer matt electroplated finish — minimal handling during finishing keeps points immaculate and razor-sharp.
• Micro barb — kinder to fish mouths and structurally stronger than a full barb.
• Manufactured from extra-strong forged, double-tempered high carbon steel — the wire gauge on size 8 was specifically upgraded during Covert Dark development to match the strength of all other sizes.
• Straight eye compatible with fluorocarbon hooklinks and stiff rig materials without compromise.
