Specimen maestro Tony King and new recruit to Gardner Tackle, has just sent through some details of an awesome tench haul he made over the weekend. During his first tench session of the year, Tony had a mega hit of 31 fish, consisting of 9 fish weighing over 7lbs and two eights at 8lb 1oz and 8lb 6oz. He also managed a bonus 9lb bream during the catch too.
Tony’s successful tactics included rubber maggots and corn presented on size 10 Covert Talon Tip hooks tied to the new Gardner Target Camo Speciskin hooklengths. Tony, a well-respected angler in the specimen world went on to add ‘These items are going to be a permanent fixture in my tackle box’. The new Target Speciskin is going to be a sure hit with specimen anglers this spring.
We look forward to catching up with Tony on the bank very soon, so be sure to keep a close eye on the Gardner Tackle website, where he will be revealing his successful tactics. Watch this space…
