Digital Marketing Manager

Job Brief

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join Gardner Tackle to assist our growing Marketing and Media Team. In this role, you will be required to implement a content lead marketing strategy that meet our marketing objectives, manage our social media channels, report on results and be hands on with the filming and editing of promotional and inspirational brand videos.

The ideal candidate should be innovative and not afraid to come up with new ideas. Additionally, the candidate must have experience in filming and editing video media in Adobe Premiere Pro and have strong photography skills. A knowledge of carp fishing is also very desirable.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager and other key players to establish brand objectives and strategies.
  • Actively film and edit marketing videos both in house and in the field.
  • Help continually form and deliver a content-led marketing and social strategy – this includes, content ideation, its creation and the delivery of day-to-day social media content (posting/scheduling).
  • Conduct strong product photography for new and existing products.
  • Liaise and manage the Gardner Team members both in the UK and Internationally to ensure they are promoting Gardner products.
  • Suggest and implement creative ideas for marketing operations.
  • Assist in the development and optimisation of marketing campaigns (product launching and promotion).
  • Liaise with other departments such as sales and product development.
  • Evaluate competition, industry and market trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2 years + prior working experience in a digital marketing/media role or a similar marketing role.
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software is essential. Wider experience and an understanding of other Adobe Creative Cloud Software is advantageous.
  • Strong photography, video filming and editing skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Creative thinking with a good understanding of market trends and B2B selling.
  • Good written and verbal skills – you will be required to form engaging write-ups and narrative for your work, that will be rolled out across multiple media streams.
  • Ability to manage your own workload, whilst being equally comfortable working as part of a team and being directed on specific projects.
  • Ideally be a passionate angler, with a deep understanding of both Carp and Specimen Angling.
  • Set/plan and document filming days. Structure filming videos and work with each angler to ensure content is appropriate to their strengths and passions.

This is a full-time, hands-on role that requires the candidate to demonstrate a keen and creative mind. Work will be undertaken both in our head office near Guildford and working on location at local lakes and fisheries.

Salary: Competitive salary + employee trust bonus after 12 months employment, healthcare and pension.
