Just to introduce myself, my name is Harry Waye-Barker and I live in London and work for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). I am passionate about angling and the natural world. It enriches my soul and I would be lost without it.
A lot of my angling is done in Norfolk. However, this year I will be getting out in the Medway Valley a lot more due to the travel and time limitations living in London. I try to get out for a couple of nights a week and this year I was fortunate enough to land a personal best 48lb 2oz common from a moody little Norfolk syndicate.
Currently I am writing a series for CARPology entitled ‘All for the Journey’. Within this series I cover various subjects, combining the social scene with some conservation and environmental issues, along with the buzz of the chase. Through my love of carp fishing I have become a keen photographer, using my shots alongside all of my writing.
