Rick is an experienced big fish angler who has been carp fishing for over 25 years. He is solely interested in the pursuit of big, English carp, and has fished a number of well known waters, including the Road lake, Crayfish Pool, Wellington Country Park, Dinton and more recently a private Surrey syndicate lake. He has been a consultant for Gardner Tackle for over 10 years. He puts his faith in our range of terminal tackle in some demanding and snaggy conditions and on tricky waters where one fish can make a season, so he has no room in his angling for products that don’t work, and that’s why hooks like the chod and Mugga, lines like GT80 and Disruption hooklink are his number one choice.

Rick is well known in the angling press and writes regularly for magazines such as Big Carp and Carpworld, and he is also a consultant for several other companies – namely Free Spirit rods, Essential Baits and Trakker bedchairs and bivvys.
